We stand in solidarity with "Academics for Peace" initiative in Turkey

We recommend that you go to this blog site for the largest collection of news and signatures in support of the "Academics for Peace" initiative in Turkey. Please petition and take other rightful actions as you can. Here's also an excellent article by Julian de Medeiros on openDemocracy to understand the content of the petition, and "us" vs. "them" setup (as in trap) in the Turkish government's response to it.

A message from Tamara Gurbis and The Lens Team:

Greetings! This is our very first newsletter about The Lens project. This past November, The Lens staff and video crew "real-world tested" our cultural peacebuilding workshop and video production processes with our Kurdish and Turkish participants. We're in the process of editing the video and look forward to sharing it with you soon. We wholeheartedly thank all who participated in helping us take our first steps.
We couldn't have done it without YOU!

We're also moving forward with fundraising for our three-day residential workshop and video production projected for April 2016. We have a number of great opportunities to pitch the project so we're also actively working on the presentation elements to make this groundbreaking project even more of a reality. We look forward to your participation and continued collaboration, and anticipate more peacebuilding and dramatic transformations in 2016!

In the meantime, please enjoy some scenes from The Lens'
recent test pilot workshop and video production.
